Love’s Work
I spent today (a rather grey Sunday in London) in a cafe, and then in my flat, reading Love’s Work by Gillian Rose, cover-t-cover. I’ve got to say, it’s one of the best things I’ve read in ages. You can read the amazon description for the basics, but I can only comment that it is lyrical, intellectual, mystical, academic, alien, familiar, uplifting, and stark, all in a truly amazing balance. And, strangely, it’s an autobiography.
